Henley & Partners and De Rham Sotheby’s International Realty conclude a partnership in Switzerland
As per 1st of March 2011, the Swiss office of Henley & Partners in Zurich entered into a non-exclusive partnership with Sotheby’s International Realty, which is represented in Switzerland by the Lausanne-based Swiss company De Rham SA. The national daily business of Henley Estates will be handled mainly by De Rham, while Henley Estates will continue to focus on international real-estate consultancy.
The first branch of De Rham Sotheby’s International Realty in German-speaking Switzerland will open on April 1st on Klosbachstrasse 99 in Zurich, directly opposite the office of Henley & Partners. This means that a centre of competence will be created on the Römerhof Square in Zurich for wealthy clients with regard to Swiss residence and property issues.
Both companies mainly serve clients in the upper and top market segments and are envisaging synergies on the Swiss market through their cooperation.
Henley & Partners AG in Zurich specialises in advising wealthy private clients in the areas of residence and citizenship planning, tax planning and the associated location assessments in Switzerland. The Zurich office has created a superb reputation for itself partly through the in-depth knowhow of its former managing partner, Christian H. Kälin. Kälin is the author and co-author of numerous publications including several books, among which the Switzerland Business & Investment Handbook and the International Real Estate Handbook are considered to be benchmarks.

De Rham SA in Lausanne is a family company founded in 1899 and currently run by the fourth generation of the family. It has over 150 employees and specialises in managing and selling all types of property. De Rham has been representing Sotheby’s International Realty on the property market in the French-speaking part of Switzerland since 2006 with great success. Since taking over the Sotheby’s licence the increase in sales turnover has been in double figures every year. Owing to this success De Rham decided to expand its activities to the whole of Switzerland.
The first branch of De Rham Sotheby’s International Realty in German-speaking Switzerland will be opened in Zurich in April 2011 and managed by Robert Ferfecki, who over the last four years has positioned Henley Estates, the property division of Henley & Partners, as one of the leading agencies for ultra luxurious property in Switzerland. Mr. Ferfecki is leaving Henley Estates and is now responsible for the business development of De Rham Sotheby’s International Realty in German-speaking Switzerland. Henley Estates will continue to concentrate on international property consultancy.
